What did the ESDC Doctoral School provide for you during your PhD program?

Through the European Doctoral School, I have had the pleasure of networking with like-minded experts and aspiring academics. I have gained invaluable insights into the workings of the top decision-making bodies over matters pertaining to EU security and defence, whilst accessing high-level contacts for my own data collection. In working with others, I have also been able to successfully complete funded projects and publications, and even pick up on teaching opportunities, through which I have further grown as an academic and practitioner. The ESDC and the European Doctoral School are fundamental assets, not just for early career researchers, but also for established academics wishing to network and collaborate with other researchers and professionals in the field of security and defence.
