The European Security and Defence College had the privilege of delivering a lecture on “Enhancing Cyber Resilience: The Pivotal Role of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC) in Advancing EU Cyber Security and Cyber Defence Training and Education” at the 9th NMIOTC Cyber Security Conference, held at the NATO Maritime Interdiction Operational Training Centre - NMIOTC in Souda Bay, Crete, Greece.

This conference provided an inspiring opportunity for the ESDC, through its Cyber ETEE Platform, to exchange views with civilian and military colleagues, as well as experts dedicated to strengthening our collective resilience in the cyber domain. The discussion highlighted the importance of advancing EU cyber security and cyber defence training and education, and the crucial role that the ESDC plays in this effort.

With more than 40 curricula on cyber security and cyber defence, the ESDC Cyber Network is able to deliver a wide range of courses that also support the EU’s Cybersecurity Strategy for the Digital Decade, the EU’s Cyber Defence Policy, the European Commission’s Cybersecurity Skills Academy, and the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework.

The ESDC would like to extend its sincere gratitude to the Commander of NMIOTC for hosting this important event, and to all participants for their engagement and contributions. The ESDC remains committed to promoting cyber security and defence education and training, and looks forward to future collaborations with NMIOTC and other partners.
