General Information
The Annual Training and Education Conference 2026 (ATEC) will take place from 17 to 18 November 2026 in Brussels. ATEC gathers practitioners in security and defence education and training from across Europe and beyond to explore the latest developments, share best practices, and shape the future of training and education. Together, we drive innovation, transformation, and forward-thinking solutions to meet the evolving challenges of the security and defence landscape.
Under the theme Strategic Readiness 2030: Reimagining European Security Education, ATEC 2026 will bring together policymakers, military and civilian practitioners, academics, training providers, and education professionals from across Europe and beyond to reflect on the future of security and defence education.
The conference will explore how education and training can contribute to the implementation of the EU Strategic Compass and prepare current and future security professionals for an increasingly complex and rapidly evolving environment.
