In December 2025, the European Security and Defence College and the Cyprus Digital Security Authority (DSA) co-organised the ‘Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)’ course in Nicosia. The course aimed to equip participants with the skills necessary to design, implement, and manage effective cybersecurity policies within their organisations.

The event opened with a keynote address by Mr. Petros Galidis, Deputy Commissioner of Communications of Cyprus, kicking off three days of intensive sessions led by cybersecurity experts and instructors. These sessions focused on critical strategies for implementing comprehensive cybersecurity policies.

The course is in full support of the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF) for ENISA Role Profile 1, 'CISO,' and is aligned with the strategic goals of the EU's Cybersecurity Strategy for the Digital Decade.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Cyprus Digital Security Authority for their outstanding support, as well as to the speakers and instructors for their invaluable contributions and insightful presentations.
