ESDC 20th Anniversary and Annual Training and Education Conference

What an inspiring two days for the European Security and Defence College at the Egmont Palace.

Our Annual Training and Education Conference brought together the ESDC network and the wider European training community. With the different aspects of the training loop in focus, the conference included intensive participatory small-group workshops, new and innovative formats, and focused discussions that moved us towards concrete outcomes.

Even after twenty years, the energy, creativity, and commitment within this community continue to drive real progress in training and education for European peace, security, and defence.

During the anniversary celebrations, we also had the pleasure of awarding three Honorary Fellowships, a tradition repeated every five years to recognise individuals whose exceptional dedication and long-standing commitment have had a lasting impact on the ESDC and our mission.

A sincere thank you to everyone who contributed, exchanged ideas, and helped make these two days impactful. The strength of the ESDC lies in its network, and your dedication continues to shape its future. We would also like to thank EGMONT - Royal Institute for International Relations for co-hosting the events.
