Photography and Media
By attending the reception, I consent to the European Security and Defence College (ESDC), based in Brussels, Belgium, using images of me captured in photographs and/or video recordings taken during the event organised by the ESDC.
I consent to the ESDC using these images and/or recordings internally and externally for the purposes of promoting its activities. This may include, but is not limited to, use in printed and digital materials such as publications, websites, newsletters, social media, e-marketing, presentations, teaching, and documentation.
I understand that:
- My images will be held and processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and will be used solely for legitimate communication and outreach purposes;
- Images published online may be accessible globally and outside of the European Union, where data protection legislation may differ from that of the EU;
- The copyright of any photographs and/or recordings belongs to the ESDC, including any intellectual property that may arise from them;
- I irrevocably assign to the ESDC all property rights to the images and recordings in which I appear;
- I waive all rights to my performance in the film and/or recordings for the purposes mentioned above;
- I may request the ESDC to stop using my image at any time. The ESDC will take all reasonable steps to prevent further use, although materials already published may continue to circulate;
- Some images or recordings may be retained permanently in the ESDC’s archives as part of its institutional memory;
By attending the event, I understand and agree to the above conditions regarding the use of my image.
Your rights
- You have the right to request access to your personal data,
- to correct or delete any information that is no longer necessary, and to object to its use.
- Your personal data will be stored securely and only for as long as necessary or until you request its removal.
- You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority.
